Have you had a great experience at the port during the year? Is there a port you would particularly like to highlight for its location, service, environment, atmosphere, child-friendliness or something else positive? Then take part in Danske Tursejleres' competition to name the Port of the Year. At the same time, you can enter the competition to win a cool inflatable life jacket. The competition is run by Danish Touring Sailors in collaboration with the Association of Marinas in Denmark (FLID), the Danish Sailing Union, Bådmagasinet and MinBaad.
Danish sailors spend a lot of time in both their own and other ports. Most have visited a harbor that was just an extra good experience, one that resonates for years to come.
One of our many key issues is the development of Danish harbors, and we keep a close eye on what's happening around us. In addition to being a pleasant and positive experience for both visiting sailors and locals, it is also a great advantage for the rest of the city when it has an attractive and well-run marina. Therefore, many of the previous winners have proudly used the prestigious title to market and promote the good harbor life. Port of the Year is a recognition that will hopefully make more sailors want to visit.
The vote runs until October 31, 2024.
The jury will then select a winner, which will be announced at FLID's Port Fair in November.
It is possible to win the honorable titles multiple times if the participants and the jury feel that the port in question has earned it.
Voting for 2024 is closed.
How to choose Port of the Year

- The jury consists of representatives from Danske Tursejlere, FLID, Dansk Sejlunion, Bådmagasinet and MinBaad.
- The jury will select the Port of the Year from the 5 ports that received the most votes in the preliminary vote.
- In addition, the jury selects the "SHOULDERCLAP OF THE YEAR", which is an award given to a port that did not make the top 5 in the voting, but still deserves a pat on the back. The jury's choice is based on the comments provided by the participants when they cast their votes.
